John Stewart = my hero

So, tonight as I watch the daily show, I think to myself what a genius John Stewart really is. He is American yet he spends his whole life making fun of his own kind...because he knows how ridiculous they all are.
Tonight he was pointing out how American governments and media have used fear mongering for decades.
There always has to be something that is seen as threat, so that the government can be seen to be doing something in combating the "so-called" threat.
My favourite though is the use of 9/11. It is my personal theory that the US was simply waiting for 9/11 to happen so they would have something to use to control their population. Even if it had been something else entirely, they would have used it in the same manner. It is all a big conspiracy!
I am sick to death that the US media and government still mention 9/11 all the time. I realize that a lot of people died, but the numbers are minuscule compared to those who have died in tsunamis, earthquakes, and have died of poverty. MINUSCULE!!!
Just because the people who died were American, there seems to be something sacred about that. Just like I stated before, they think they are better than everyone.
Egocentrist!
I actually do not feel sorry for the US at all. They brought this upon themselves. How many times have they tried to control resources and whole countries for their own personal gain....HELLO America!!! If you exploit people they will get pissed off. It's just how it works.
Obviously people will want to bomb you if you have a history of invading their countries physically and economically. Especially if you are draining their resources and capital. Need I say more.
PS the US army has probably killed 100 X the people that 9/11 did. All wars which I personally find unnecessary.
The US needs to reevalute its global position.
They also need to stop brining up 9/11. It wasn't that big a deal. Except that it spawned a lucrative security industry which allowed large arms corporations to develop new security technology and weaponry and profit insanely from it.
Take from this what you will. I just think it's all a little too convenient.

  1. I have to admit ... 9/11 was a traggedy. Yes. Yes it was. It shouldn't have happened. A lot of lives were lost. HOWEVER it's been how long now? Seriously? Come on. You don't see people still going on about other traggedies like they do with 9/11. Grrr. And I agree; I do not agree with the "war" that's going on right now. I think it's wrong and the president needs to call his damn troops home and the prime minister needs to do the same.
